Designer clothes
When talking about designer clothing, the highly creative and expensive creations of top fashion designers are rarely what is meant.
Rather, 'designer clothing' is typically used to describe clothing that was not designed or made by the top fashion luminary, but bears their name due to a licensing agreement the designer has entered into with a mass market apparel manufacturer. These agreements allow manufacturers of commodity apparel items to sell their wares at a premium price due to the cachet of the designer's name and providing the designer with another income stream.

What is Funky dress or Funky outfit?
Although the word ‘funky' was first used in 1784 to describe an old block of musty, moldy cheese, the term has since developed into an expression of originality. ‘Funky' today is used to describe something that is stylish and modern in an unconventional way, characterized by uniqueness and originality. Funky is the black and red goth shirts with fishnet sleeves you find at Hot Topic, the knit fringe wraparound at Urban Outfitters that you can't afford, the Bohemian dress your mother wore when she was seventeen.Thursday, 24 May 2012

Trend of Fashion accessories
A fashion accessory is an item which is used to contribute, in a secondary manner, to the wearer's outfit. The term came into use in the 19th century. Accessories are often used to complete an outfit and are chosen to specifically complement the wearer's look. One of the most favored forms of semiotic distinction is fashion, because fashionable clothes, accessories, and body adornment are easy for others to observe at glance. Incidental items, particularly branded specific handbags, footwear, jewelry, accessories, and new hairstyles act also as important status symbols.

Turkish Traditional dress|Turkish fashion and tradition
Turkish folk dress
The Turks made use of a wide variety of materials to create their costumes. They were very particular about their clothing and were fond of using exquisite materials. Cotton and woolen fabric would be specially woven on handlooms and they would import fine quality silk from China. The trademark attire of the Turkish people is both fashionable and functional. This had to be so because the daily mode of transport was the horse, hence they needed to be wearing a costume that would enable them to ride horses with comfort and ease. This is why there is a striking resemblance between the clothes that were worn by women and those worn by men.
A special kind of head covering was also worn by the Turks. Made out of sheepskin or fur the head covering known as Bashlyks was meant to offer protection against cold. They were also considered to be symbols of high status amongst the locals.
-
With the expansion of the Ottoman Empire even more cultures and customs made their way into Turkey. In fact Turkey established a massive textile industry in many of its states such as Busra, Istanbul, Konya and Denizli and in many ways became the fashion capital of the time.

Punjabi style
A popular, comfortable and convenient dress worn by the women of Punjab is the Churidar Kurta. This was traditionally the dress worn in Punjab, but is now worn almost everywhere, particularly among the younger generations. Punjabi girls and women also wear Salwar Kameez`s with bright coloured Dupattas. A Salwar Kameez has two pieces of clothes- the Kameez, or shirt that is the top piece; and the Salwar, (pants) or bottom piece. The women can also be seen wearing shawls adorned with the beautiful Phulkari shawls. The shawl is completely covered in thick silk embroidery and folk motifs done in jewel-tones on an ochre background. The traditional costume of the men of Punjab comprises a Kurta Pyjama. The Kurta is a kind of loose shirt which is long and straight-cut. The Pyjamas are loose, baggy pants which are tied at the waist. Some men also wear the Kurta with the Lungi or Tehmat, which is a kind of sarong. During winters they can be seen wearing bright colourful sweaters. Some of the boys and even the grown up men can be seen wearing loose pants or slacks with a collared shirt or t-shirt. The Sikhs among the Punjabis can be distinctly identified by their attire as they are obliged by religion to wear turbans, known as Pugg or Pagri.
Traditional Punjabi shoes, called Juttis, are extremely popular with men in both the rural and urban areas. They are very comfortable and also look very elegant. During the winter months, both the Punjabi men and women adorn a woollen shawl or a small blanket, over their chest and necks. The shawls, usually made by female members of the family, are rather colourful and intricately designed.
