Croqui models| Fashion sketches| Step by step process of making croqui
Croqui model sketches
Variuos styles and types of croqui models
The first and easiest thing to do is start collecting magazine tears, runway photos, catalogs, ect that have poses you’d like to use. I have a whole folder devoted to this so if I ever get bored and want a new croquis, then I can dig though and find a pose I like. Some of my favorite places to look: Runway shows, Lucky magazine, Vogue, and the Delia’s catalog. Preferable you want a picture with tighter clothing so that you can actually see the shape of the body…but once you get better at drawing the shape of legs and arms, then you can start to use these tears just for a reference to the body position.

Calvin Klein-Famous fashion designer| Calvin Klien Inc. fashion house
Calvin Klien:
Calvin Klein Inc. is a fashion house founded by American fashion designer Calvin KleinIn 1968, Klein founded Calvin Klein Limited, a coat shop in the York Hotel in New York City, with $10,000. The first Calvin Klein collection was a line of men's and women's coats featured at the New York City store, Bonwit Teller.
In the late 1970s, the company also made attempts to set up its own fragrance and cosmetics business, but soon withdrew from the market with big financial losses. In the 1980s, as the designer-jeans frenzy reached its all-time high, Calvin Klein introduced a highly successful line of boxer shorts for women and a men’s underwear collection which would later gross $70 million in a single year. Calvin Klein’s underwear business, promoted later in the 1990s with giant billboards showing images of pop singer Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg, was so successful that his underpants became generally known as "Calvins".
In mid-December 2002, Calvin Klein Inc. (CKI) was finally sold to shirt maker Phillips Van Heusen Corp (PVH), whose then CEO Bruce Klatsky was the driving force behind the deal, for about $400 million in cash, $30 million in stock as well as licensing rights and royalties linked to revenues over the following 15 years that were estimated at $200 to $300 million. The sale also included an ongoing personal financial incentive for Klein based on future sales of the Calvin Klein brand.

Marie Antoinette- the famous fashion icon|Queen of france-Marie antoinette
All time fashion icon and the most beautiful queen-Marie Antoinette
Fashion is a general term for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, or furniture. "Fashion" refers to a distinctive; however, often-habitual trend in a look and dress up of a person, as well as to prevailing styles in behavior. "Fashion" usually is the newest creations made by designers and are bought by only a few number of people; however, often those "fashions" are translated into more established trends.Maria Antonia of Austria was born on 2 November 1755 at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria; on the next day, she was baptized Maria Antonia Josepha Johanna (also known as Maria Antonia Josephina Johanna). She was the youngest daughter of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, and Maria Theresa, Queen of Hungary and Bohemia, and ruler of the Hapsburg dominions; her godparents were the King of Portugal and his wife. In her family, she was simply called Antonia. Described at her birth as "a small, but completely healthy Archduchess",she was also known at the Austrian court as Antonia, but more often as Madame Antoine, since French was commonly spoken in the Hofburg. After all, Viennese society itself was multilingual, with many able to speak German, French, Italian and/or Spanish.
Though colors and patterns of textiles changed from year to year, the cut of a gentleman's coat and the length of his waistcoat, or the pattern to which a lady's dress was cut changed more slowly. Men's fashions largely derived from military models, and changes in a European male silhouette are galvanized in theatres of European war, where gentleman officers had opportunities to make notes of foreign styles: an example is the "Steinkirk" cravat or necktie.
The most dramatic manifestation was a sudden drastic shortening and tightening of the male over-garment, from calf-length to barely covering the buttocks, sometimes accompanied with stuffing on the chest to look bigger. This created the distinctive Western male outline of a tailored top worn over leggings or trousers.
The four major current fashion capitals are acknowledged to be Milan, New York City, Paris, and London. Fashion weeks are held in these cities, where designers exhibit their new clothing collections to audiences, and which are all headquarters to the greatest fashion companies and are renowned for their major influence on global fashion.

Coco chanel dress designs| Little black dress by Coco chanel|Famous fashion designer- Coco chanel
The Little black dress
The concept of the “little black dress,” is often cited as a Chanel
contribution to the fashion lexicon and as an article of clothing
survives to this day. Its first incarnation was executed in thin silk,
crèpe de chine, and had long sleeves. In 1926, the American edition of Vogue
highlighted such a Chanel dress, which they predicted would “become
sort of a uniform for all women of taste,” embodying a standardized
aesthetic, which the magazine likened to the democratic appeal of the
ubiquitous black Ford automobile. This look, a spare sheath, generated
widespread criticism from male journalists who complained: “no more
bosom, no more stomach, no more rump…Feminine fashion of this moment in
the 20th century will be baptized lop off everything.

The most famous and the best fashion designer-Gabrielle Chanel
Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel (1883–1971) and the House of Chanel
Born in August of 1883, Gabrielle Chanel was a French native who was destined to liberate women from the constraints of corsets and other uncomfortable garments. A true rebel and visionary, Chanel, who changed her name to Coco after a brief career as a singer, preferred to wear clothes she could move freely in; often, her style were imbued with a mannish aesthetic. Indeed, Coco Chanel, who designed her first cardigan to avoid pulling any garment over her head, was really the originator of modern women’s sportswear. Her desire for freedom and self-expression gave women style without sacrifice…Her childhood was not easy; her mother died young, when Gabrielle was just twelve years old, and in time, the young girl was sent to live in an orphanage…the nuns who cared for her also taught her the rudiments of sewing.
It was in 1931 while in Monte Carlo that Chanel made the acquaintance of Samuel Goldwyn. The introduction was made through a mutual friend, the Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich,
cousin to the last czar of Russia, Nicolas II. Goldwyn offered Chanel a
tantalizing proposition. For the sum of a million dollars
(approximately seventy-five million today), he would bring her to
Hollywood twice a year to design costumes for MGM stars. Chanel accepted
the offer. En route to California from New York traveling in a white
train car, which had been luxuriously outfitted specifically for her
use, she was interviewed by Colliers magazine in 1932.
The designer's passionate interests inspired her fashions. Her apartment and her clothing followed her favorite color palette, shades of beige, black, and white). Elements from her art collection and theatrical interests likewise provided themes for her collections. When Chanel attended a masquerade ball dressed as a figure from a Watteau painting, she later reworked the costume into a woman's suit. She hired Russian émigrés from her circle of friends to work in her embroidery workshop, creating designs to her exacting specifications. Known for a relentless drive for perfection, whether in design or fit, and strong opinions in all matters of taste, Chanel backed her clothing with the authority of her personal conviction.
